Progress of an idea

Per aspera ad astra
  • March 2015First attempts at the definition of a research plan where classical physics is used to explain genuinely quantum phenomena.

  • April 2015Idea about the use of the multipole approach of classical electrodynamics (J. D. Jackson, Classical Electrodynamics, Wiley, 1999) to explain quantization of the free radiation field. Different Editors rejected the work prior to sending the manuscript out to the reviewers.

  • May-July 2015Work submitted to Physics Letters A. The reviewers strongly advise against the work but they did not find mistakes in the calculation. Their comments seem to suggest that these reviewers cannot tolerate that classical physics might be efficacious in the explanation of quantization of the electromagnetic field. Indeed, several comments are out of the context. You can follow the dispute by reading the documents given below.

  • Sept 2015Work presented during the poster session of the International Conference on Quantum, Atomic, Molecular and Plasma Physics (QUAMP 2015), Brighton (UK). Look at the POSTER (PDF)
